Osaka JALT Online (OJO) is a free webinar series dedicated to bringing together English language teaching professionals from Japan and beyond in a friendly, supportive, and low-pressure online environment. We welcome both JALT members from the wider JALT community as well as non-members to share presentations about their passions and interests related to language teaching and teaching in Japan in a friendly, supportive, low-stakes environment. Ultimately, OJO aims to foster professional growth, expand networking opportunities for presenters and attendees, and build deeper connections among our community.
Held two to three times each year, each webinar in the OJO series is built around a central theme or concept, providing opportunities to explore ideas from multiple perspectives. Individual presentations are 20–25 minutes in length, followed by a brief Q&A if time allows. The event concludes with extended breakout-room discussions, giving presenters and participants the chance to exchange ideas, ask questions, and build meaningful professional connections.
Whether you’re presenting for the first time, sharing classroom practices, discussing research in progress, or refining a conference presentation, OJO provides a welcoming space to exchange ideas and receive constructive feedback. We especially encourage first-time presenters to use OJO as a confidence-building launch pad, while experienced educators can explore new ideas and connect with colleagues. We hope to see eager educators taking the opportunity to share practical activities, practice the rough version of their presentation before a conference, and participate in constructive dialogue with audience members.
Presenters are also invited to publish research papers, reflective pieces, and other contributions in the Osaka JALT Journal. Please see our journal website for more information on publication guidelines.

Osaka JALT Online（OJO）は無料のウェビナーシリーズです。日本国内外の英語教育関係者が安心してプレッシャーなく気軽に参加できる環境のもとオンラインで交流することを目的とし、他のJALTコミュニティ所属の会員はもちろん、会員ではない方々も、国内での英語教育や教育実践に関連する研究、関心のあることについて発表していただけます。OJOは、発表者・参加者双方の専門性の向上、人脈づくり、そしてコミュニティ内のより深いつながりの構築を後押しします。
ウェビナーは年に2〜3回開催され、それぞれ共通テーマやコンセプトを軸として企画されるため、多角的なアイデアを検証することができます。20〜25分の発表の後、時間があれば短い質疑応答があります。最後、ブレイクアウトルームでの交流時間では、発表者と参加者が自由に意見交換や質問をし、専門的なつながりを深める機会を提供します。
OJOは、初めて発表をする方や、授業での取り組みや研究中の経過のお話、学会発表前の練習をしたい方などが、安心して意見交換をしたり建設的な提案を受けることができる環境です。初心者の方には自信をつける場として、そしてベテランの方には新しいアイデアを試したり、同僚と交流したりする場としてご活用いただけます。多くの教育者の皆様のご参加をお待ちしております。
また発表者には、OSAKA JALTジャーナルへの研究論文、実践報告、リフレクションなどの投稿もご案内しています。投稿規定については下記のジャーナルのホームページをご覧ください。

We welcome webinar proposals on topics related to language education and teaching in Japan, including but not limited to:
- Research findings related to English language teaching and learning
- Second language acquisition theory and pedagogy
- Special interest topics (such as ESP, CLIL, CALL, etc.)
- Teaching in Japan across all educational contexts
- Bilingual and multilingual education
- Language teacher education, professional development, and teacher wellbeing
- Applied linguistics and language development
- Inclusive education, accessibility, and diversity in the classroom
- Curriculum design and materials development
- Practical classroom activities and practice
- Intercultural communication
- Motivation, learner autonomy, and learner wellbeing
- Educational leadership
- Innovative teaching ideas and resources
- Discussions of research-in-progress
Proposals may report on concluded original research, in-progress research projects, classroom practice, teaching innovations, reflective and theoretical perspectives on language teaching or teaching in Japan, or practical workshops. Proposals will be considered on the basis that they are relevant to language educators and/or researchers, educators in the Japanese teaching context, JALT chapter and SIG members, and the wider education community.

発表内容について
発表形式は、研究発表、研究途中のプロジェクト報告、授業実践や教育実践の紹介、教育手法の新しい取り組み、言語教育や日本の教育現場に関する理論的・省察的な考察、実践的なワークショップなど、幅広く受け付けています。
ご応募いただいた企画は、語学教育・語学研究に携わる方々、日本の教育現場で活動する教育関係者、JALTの支部・SIGメンバー、そして広く教育コミュニティにとって有益であるかという観点から審査します。
